James McGillivary is a sole practitioner criminal lawyer whose practice is exclusively focused on the area of impaired driving by alcohol or drugs and "over 80" driving offences.
Mr. McGillivary has been practising criminal law since being called to the bar in 1988. He is routinely invited to lecture on impaired driving law at judicial conferences, defence counsel conferences, law school functions, and media events.

Scott Turner is a member of the Law Society of Ontario with a background in criminology. He has been practising criminal defence law with James McGillivary since 1996. Mr. Turner consults with clients on all matters and handles all court appearances prior to trial in Ottawa and all jurisdictions in eastern Ontario.
We are licensed in Ontario by the Law Society of Ontario. Although we are not licensed to practice in Québec, we would be happy to refer you to a licensed criminal defence counsel.
